Celestial Bird: Eventide Space and MojoHandFX Rook Overdrive

Celestial Bird: Eventide Space and MojoHandFX Rook Overdrive
www.mojohandfx.com http This is yet another of my ambient indulgences, inspired by these two exceptional pedals, the Eventide Space and MojoHandFX Rook Overdrive. The Rook took out the "What's That Dude Play Pedal Of The Year Award" in 2011 and I'll be featuring it in a comprehensive demo in the near future. The Eventide Space is just WOW and would require 30 or 40 videos to properly do it justice. My friend Nick at the crxshdxmmy channel has already made a slew of great demos for it and I'm going to trickle a few out in the future as well, just to add to the party. The guitar is a 2000 US Standard Telecaster, modified with Burgerman Signature pickups by Mick Brierley (see: www.brierleyguitarpickups.com.au for more info). The amps are: (Left) HIWATT Custom 50 Combo SA212; (Right) Marshall RI 1962 Bluesbreaker combo. I'll be making some comprehensive demos of the Marshall in the future also. The amps were miked with a Violet Design 'The Amethyst' (HIWATT) and Rode NT2000 (Mar! shall). I noticed after recording that the Rode was set to 'Omni' meaning it was not just picking up the Marshall's speaker but the surrounding room as well, hence the quite audible clicking of footswitches. I like the Omni position because it adds some room and broader bass response. The interface is an Avid MBox 3 Pro. Pro Tools 10 tracked it and I used a couple of essential Waves plugs (L3-16 and CLA Guitars) to bring it to life. No compression or extra reverb were added to the mix. Special thanks ...

Its how we artists evolve our work. Song used for video Klaypex - Rain Software used: Logo was rendered in Cinema 4D (sorry that was not in this speed art, but i already had my logo rendered, and wasnt going to build a new one from scratch for the video lol) The rest was finished up in Adobe Photoshop. To render the video I used Adobe After Effects.
